Welcome to AJS Vintage Store Co. The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to AJS Vintage Store Co. We operate this website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services, to provide you with a curated shopping experience (the “Services”). Our store is powered by Shopify.

By visiting, using or purchasing from our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”) together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Refund & Returns Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Services.

AJS Vintage Store Co is operated by C. McGrath, sole trader, based in Poole, Dorset, United Kingdom.

Access and Account

You confirm you are at least the age of majority in your place of residence. You may be asked to provide details such as your name, email address, billing and shipping address, and payment information. You agree that all information supplied is accurate and complete and that you have authority to provide it. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity on your account.

Our Products

We specialise in antique and vintage goods, many of which are one-of-a-kind. We make reasonable efforts to describe and photograph items accurately, but colours and appearance may vary by device and lighting. Product descriptions, prices and availability may change without notice.

Vintage and antique pieces are sold “as seen.” Age-related wear forms part of their character and is not considered a defect. New items, such as the my Thrift Haul™ collection, are clearly labelled and covered by standard consumer cancellation rights.

Orders and Payments

When you place an order online, you make an offer to purchase under these Terms. We may accept or decline any order at our discretion. An order is accepted when we confirm acceptance and receive cleared payment.

Please review your order carefully before submitting, as cancellation may not be possible after acceptance. Online purchases are subject to our Refund & Returns Policy. You agree that purchases are for personal or household use and not for resale.

Collection-Only and Sales at The Den Emporium

Some items displayed on our website can be reserved online for collection only from The Den Emporium, 9–11 Francis Avenue, Bournemouth BH11 8NX. Payment and collection for these items take place in person at The Den Emporium.

All in-person sales completed at The Den Emporium are processed directly by The Den Emporium and are governed by their in-store policy, which does not include refunds or exchanges. Purchases made at The Den Emporium are entirely separate from online transactions made through AJS Vintage Store Co.

Prices and Billing

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and may change without notice. Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude delivery charges, which are calculated at checkout. You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information and to keep it updated so we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

We are not VAT registered, and VAT is not charged on any of our sales.

Shipping and Delivery

We currently ship within the United Kingdom only. All orders are sent using tracked courier services, including Evri for tote bags and Royal Mail for vintage items. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed, and we are not responsible for delays caused by carriers or events beyond our control. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are handed to the carrier. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos and layout, is owned by AJS Vintage Store Co or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not reproduce, distribute or modify any content without our written consent.

my Thrift Haul™ is a trademark of AJS Vintage Store Co. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

Third-Party Tools and Links

We may provide access to third-party tools or websites. We provide these on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties. Your use of any third-party service is at your own risk and subject to that provider’s terms.

Privacy

Personal information collected through the Services is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Because our store is hosted by Shopify, your information may also be processed by Shopify in accordance with its own Privacy Policy, available at www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.

Errors, Inaccuracies and Omissions

From time to time there may be information on the website that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions (for example in product descriptions, pricing or availability). We reserve the right to correct such errors and to update or cancel orders affected by them without prior notice.

Prohibited Uses

You must use the Services only for lawful purposes. You must not use the Services to break the law, infringe intellectual-property rights, harass others, transmit malicious code, send unsolicited communications or circumvent security features. We may suspend or terminate access for any breach of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time at our discretion. You remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination. Sections which by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Except as expressly stated by us, the Services and all products are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantable quality and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AJS Vintage Store Co and its owner, employees and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses (including loss of profits, revenue, savings, data or goodwill) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services or products purchased through them. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AJS Vintage Store Co, its owner, employees, agents and service providers from any claims, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your misuse of the Services.

Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and AJS Vintage Store Co agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
