Where We Ship

At this time, we only ship within the United Kingdom. We do not offer international shipping.

Services by Product Type

my Thrift Haul™ Oversized Canvas Tote Bag

Shipped via Evri Tracked Delivery (2–4 working days).

Packed carefully to meet Evri postable or small-parcel size and weight limits.

Vintage & Fragile Items

Shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48 (2–3 working days) or Royal Mail Special Delivery for higher-value or fragile items (next working day, guaranteed).

The service used depends on the item's weight, value, and packaging requirements.

Shipping Costs

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the total weight and size of your order.

1 bag (≤ 0.5 kg) – £2.99 – Evri Postable Tracked (2–4 working days)

2 bags (0.5–1 kg) – £3.79 – Evri Small Parcel Tracked (2–4 working days)

3 or more bags (1–2 kg) – £4.99 – Evri Tracked Delivery (2–4 working days)

Vintage & Fragile Items (Royal Mail – tracked):

Royal Mail Tracked 48 (most items): calculated by weight/size at checkout (typical from around £4.50).

Royal Mail Special Delivery (high-value or fragile): calculated at checkout based on weight/value and required insurance.

We aim to keep shipping costs fair while ensuring all parcels are sent via tracked, reliable couriers.

Processing and Dispatch Times

Most orders are dispatched within three to five business days of being received. As a small independent business, there may be rare occasions when dispatch is delayed due to illness, travel, or unforeseen circumstances.

Delivery Timeframe

Under UK consumer law, we aim to deliver all orders within 30 days of purchase unless a different timeframe has been agreed with you in writing. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed, and we do not currently offer expedited shipping.

Tracking and Communication

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an automated email containing your tracking number. Please check your junk or spam folder if you do not see it. If you have questions or cannot find your tracking details, contact us at hello@ajsvintagestoreco.com

All services include full tracking, and tracking details are automatically emailed once your order has been dispatched.

Packaging

Orders are packed carefully to minimise the risk of damage during transit. Where possible, we use recycled packaging materials to reduce environmental impact and costs for our customers.

Delivery Responsibility

We carefully package all items for safe transit. Once dispatched, responsibility for the parcel passes to the courier, but we remain responsible to ensure your order arrives safely. If your parcel is lost or arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours and we will assist with a replacement, refund, or courier claim as appropriate.

Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. Our system automatically prints labels using the details you provide. If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, an additional redelivery fee will be charged to cover the new shipping label. If you do not wish to have your items re-shipped, we will refund your order minus the original shipping cost.

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us within 24 hours of placing it at hello@ajsvintagestoreco.com. Beyond this timeframe, we may not be able to stop dispatch.

Consumer Cancellation Rights for New Items

For new, non-vintage items purchased online, such as the my Thrift Haul™ collection, you have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Return postage is the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty, damaged, or materially misdescribed.

Damaged or Lost Parcels

If your order arrives damaged, please email hello@ajsvintagestoreco.com within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the packaging and item. If your tracking number shows no movement after 14 days, please contact us so we can investigate with the courier. If tracking shows "delivered" but you have not received your parcel, please check with neighbours, your local Royal Mail office, or delivery depot.

Collection-Only Items and The Den Emporium

Some larger vintage and antique pieces are available for collection only from The Den Emporium, 9–11 Francis Avenue, Bournemouth BH11 8NX. These items can be reserved through our website, but payment and collection are completed in person at The Den Emporium.

All in-person transactions at The Den Emporium are processed by The Den and follow their in-store policy, which does not include refunds or exchanges. Purchases made at The Den Emporium are separate from transactions made through our online store.
